As part of our Autumn Study Junior Infants learned about 'Hedgehogs'.
We mastered a new poem, did some interesting artwork, watched several informative slideshows, powerpoints and documentaries and even followed a procedure to make delicious 'Hedgehog bread'! (Thank you Anne for your help!)
We now know everything about hedgehogs! (Well, maybe not quite!)

Staying Safe with Electricity
Nicola (Sofia's Mum) visited the Junior Infant classroom to talk to the children about the importance of staying safe near electricity.
She also gave us 'Hi-Viz' Road Safety Authority jackets so that we can be seen when we're out and about!

Maths, maths and more maths!
Maths fortnight took place in DNS between 18th and 27th of October (a little shorter than a fortnight because of Hurricane Ophelia!)
All classes engaged in environmental learning and everyone spent some time in Delgany National School grounds counting, measuring, estimating, tallying and generally doing fun maths!

Halloween Bake Sale
Lots of the pupils were delighted to have the opportunity to dress up for our annual 'Halloween Bake Sale' on Friday 27th October.
It was another great DNS fundraiser and 'thrills and spills' were had by all!
Even Mrs Conran donned her witches hat and posed with the scary Junior Infant ghouls and ghosts!
